you have 2 monitors,
no 1 is the one, with your hmdi input,
no 2 is the old one, with an analog input
if you have 2 monitors with digital in, its easy,
to connect both on your grapic card, like the Geforce

if you are not shure, if your old monitor may have a digital slot,
just check the plug
so,
the main goal, find an adapter, that is working
is the converter in the last vdo working for you - I have no idea,
but thats the way
It would help if you linked to the exact GTX 1060 you have, but if it doesn't have a DVI-I output port, there is no analog (VGA) signal available from the card. You would indeed need to purchase a digital to analog converter... and hope the picture isn't degraded too bad. This one has been used by another poster on this forum with reported good results. (I can't vouch for it, however. Never used one)

but on the other hand,
if your graphic card has only digital out, no analog out,
and your old monitor is only analog in,
there are many reported problems,
watch the comment section of the last vdo,
may be, get a used digital monitor is a hassle free solution for you
